Electronics and IT show

So much fancy stuff! Technology is developing so fast!

Asia's biggest product => People. (To be fair, Singapore is not USUALLY so crowded.)

We were there to get me a camera(I left mine in the States) and (perhaps) a TV. In the end we got both. I got a sketchy Olympus camera and we also got an LG 46in LED TV. <3

I learnt a lot of new stuff at the show. I didn't know about 3D TVs or HDMI cables. There were opened TVs to show the difference between LED, LCD and plasma display panels. There was also a frigging BadAss Monster TV by SamSung. It was HUGE (65in??) and paper-thin. I was gawking and drooling all over it lol.

  1. You guys are so much more high-tech...I spent today buying shoes and jeans and jackets at an outlet, except the Chinese tour groups took all the small/medium sizes.

Keep up the good work. 你学韩语后应该用韩语来写博客。

  2. PS If you are using statcounter, my IP address now shows up as somewhere in Idaho because of my new internet service provider.

PPS What is the difference between LED and LCD? Is it just a LED lighting, or are you using OLED technology?

  3. I don't think OLED technology is common in the market yet? It may be used in smaller displays like PDA but not quite for anything over 20in.

The LCD and LED are really just the difference in the back light. But LED uses much less power and has a purer color composition. Hence it uses less electricity and gives better contrast. Because it is possible to turn off regions of LED lighting on some displays, you can also display a blacker black.
